Diamond Firetail (Stagonopleura guttata)
I haven't seen one of these near by in a tree before so this was a nice surprise when it flew out of the long grass and perched on an open branch. Little bird of the southeast, occupies drier forests and grassy areas. Seen in Mount Ainslie Nature Reserve, Campbell park end, ACT.
