Shining Bronze-Cuckoo (Chalcites lucidus)
Green and glossy bronze-cuckoo of forests and woodlands. Parasites small birds such as thornbills, gerygones, scrubwrens and fairy-wrens. Occurs on the whole of the eastern side of the continent and the southwest. This is subspecies “plagosus” that may be split off as the “Golden Bronze-Cuckoo” (The Australian Bird Guide - CSIRO). Seen at Callum Brae nature Reserve ACT.
