Weeping Water Academy
This building was constructed by community effort in 1871 as the Congregational Church, it was built of native limestone and served until 1887 when a new brick church was built. In 1885 the Academy was established as a school ran primarily by the Congregationalists, who believed their children's needs would not be met by the public school. The school closed in 1914 and the building became the Weeping Water Academic Library in 1917. It is currently being restored.
