Los Angeles City Firefighters use The Jaws of Life to free a crash victim, Monday Morning

(WOODLAND HILLS) A Violent 2-car crash involved a Roll-Over of a GMC Terrain sending both drivers to the hospital this afternoon.

Two car accident occurred at about 11:47 a.m. today with minor injuries reported. Firefighters from fire station 105 on Fallbrook Ave had arrived to this reported roll-over car accident at Victory Boulevard cross street of Platt Ave. next to the Los Angeles Platt Ave public library branch Woodland Hills and assist on scene with the driver of the rolled over Gray GMC Terrain (Photo below) which was facing Eastbound in the E/B lanes on Victory Bl. . Firefighters and rescuers had to use the “Jaws of Life” to excavate the driver from the rolled over GMC Terrain which was heavily damaged by the impact of this crash which took Firefighters over 6 minutes to get the driver free from the driver’s seat and onto a gurney, transported to one of the local Hospitals.

 

 

The women driving the Lexus ES 350 was said to of caused to accident as she failed to yield the oncoming traffic, Police said. The tow truck operator personally assisted the woman driver from her Lexus ES 350 after the crash and into one of the arriving Paramedic Ambulances which transporter her emergency to a local Hospital , Police said.

 

 

There were no passengers in these vehicles reported by Police. There were no other persons reported at the scene as injured or involved. There was three witnesses who told police they seen the whole incident and told police they would be witnesses to this incident, (Failed to Yield) which resulted in this crash today.
