P1280053 - 2019

Moderate flood on Town Creek @ LBJ National Historical Park and Settlement. Floodwaters top the culvert and bridge at the entrance to LBJ NHP's Settlement. The torrent at the base of the falls represents dangerous current and powerful water coursing through the riparian flood plain of Town Creek overfilling the banks of the stream. Gives visual proof of dictum 'Turn around, don't drown.' You can see the rationale for the 'No Parking' sign.

This particular rain was on the order of four inches. This was not a flood of destructive proportions.
