Midnight sun at Vesterålen, Norway (at 00:11 am): time standing still in between sunset and sunrise ...
Taken in July 2011 on the spectacular voyage with Hurtigruten (the original coastal express of Norway) along the Norwegian coast ... the first and only kind of cruise we ever did.
I loved to sit on deck until well past midnight - enjoying the finally nice weather after days of rain, just watching the sea, the waves, the never quite setting midnight sun and the mountains "rising" from the sea ... serenity and very fond memories !
