Tool kit 💼

The conclusion of this journey and/or story consists of a discussion on coping tools. It is important to break the societal stigma against mental illness and ask for help when needed. Although I may be biased as I am currently undergoing my psychiatric clinical for nursing school, I feel as if our surroundings are improving in regards to reducing the stigma. I am currently seeking therapy and am dedicating more time to my mental health. I use materials I find at hand (e.g., journal, some Play-Doh) to help in times of distress, and most importantly, I fuel and use my body as a tool. People can have time for mental health dedication with proper prioritization. Time may appear scarce but simply utilization and appreciation of surroundings may serve as coping mechanism, too. Overall, recovery can be had and life can be had.
