Random Critter

One fun thing about railfanning new places are the random little unexpected industry locomotives and critters that dot rail served facilities across the country, particularly in the agricultural regions of middle-America.

Down along Front Street on the Mississippi River waterfront at the ADM and Modern Transport barge to rail terminal and elevators sat this critter. I didn't see it move but it appears to be in service equipped with RCL equipment and seemingly ballasted with extra weight in its nose. It is clearly GE 80-tonner but has no identifying markings but according to one source online it is believed to be ex-Consumers Power 915, nee-American Viscose no #, blt. Oct. 1946.
