Sunset And Shadows

Sometime shooting into the sun works.

It's about 7:45 PM and the sky over Turnagain Arm is afire while the steep walls of the Chugach Mountains rising from tidewater are bathed in deep shadows. The headlights of an Alaska Railroad SD70MAC pierce the bold shadows at and a sister lead a long120S freight from Anchorage to Whittier destined for a rendezvous with the Alaska Marine Lines barge headed back to Seattle. They are coiling south near MP 92 a bit under a mile and half south of the short Rainbow Siding that's tucked up against the Seward highway at right.
