263 At Summit

Having just about reached the summit of the line after climbing almost 1000 ft in elevation in 18 miles since leaving Rutland, Vermont Railway train 263 is crossing aptly named Summit Road at about at about MP B34.1 on the Green Mountain Railroad's Bellows Falls Subdivision. Leading the way across the 1518 ft crest of the climb (with three geeps trailing) is SD70M-2 431 built in December 2006 for the Florida East Coast, and one of only two six axle units on the roster.
