Palmer Three Way
After spending an hour out by the Connecticut River I started home and planned to hop off the Pike in Palmer for breakfast. A quick check revealed Q264 was bearing down on town so I figured I'd try for one grab shot. As I headed toward my favorite spot at old MP 83 I heard them call the signal as they rounded the curve approaching the NECR diamond. I had just enough time to pull and hop out with my truck still running and the door open to grab this three way meet shot.
Q264 (Buffalo to East Brookfield auto racks) has two units on the head end for a change as it passes the pair of geeps on L012 (old B740 the West Springfield to Palmer local turn) sitting in the yard and tbe DP locomotive on the rear of Q436 (Selkirk to Worcester manifest) the controlled siding while they make their set out.
Thirty seconds and three trains on the old Boston and Albany. I'll take it!
