Eastern Route "Freight"

Pan Am Boston based local BO-1 is heading home light engine after run to Peabody to deliver cars to Rousselot which is the very last customer remaining on the north shore and the sole reason this lonely freight train makes its biweekly treks up the old Boston and Maine Eastern Route mainline. This is a sad state of a affairs and a far cry from days of old, but now only crumbling vestiges of trackside industries and legacy names such as Brickyard serve to remind us of once was. But forget all that was lost for a moment and be thankful for this pretty sight we do have as the mysteriously Guilford repainted GP40-2LW 507 rolls south beneath the signal mast here at about MP 10.8 on the Keolis/MBTA mainline.
