Utah Railway's RUT611 local passes both the Chevron and Big West Oil refineries in North Salt Lake the evening of July 11, 2021.
This angled main track and switch were installed in 1985 to allow D&RGW trains to enter and exit Union Pacific's Salt Lake Subdivision via a trackage rights agreement.
Union Pacific owns all of this trackage today, they refer to the junction as CP C789 and the former Rio Grande track is Main No. 3.
