After UP's Glenwood Springs to Salt Lake City OCS train departed Soldier Summit, the sun was nowhere to be found. When I was shooting Kodachrome 25 slide film, photography of a fast moving speedster such as this would be over.
Not to worry, digital is very forgiving, and thrives in all types of lighting, including dark gloomy conditions. UP 4404 leads the 12 car train of streamlined passenger cars through the ghost town of Mill Fork, Utah, along Soldier Creek on July 1, 2025.
