Meet at Waterville
John F. Bjorklund Photo • Doug Harrop Collection • October 6, 1979
A masterful photo on Kodachrome by Mr. Bjorklund captures a meet in progress in Waterville, Minnesota. At left, CNW 208 North, with an F3A meets CNW 4501 North, with a GP9 on the Redwing Local.
With a current population of less than 2000 people, Waterville is an apt name for this tiny town. On the west side is Tetonka Lake, on the east, Sakatah Lake. It appears there are no railroads that call on Waterville now, much less a junction point between two lines.
