Pullman Green in Provo
Just over two years after Western Pacific merged into the Union Pacific, a WP GP35 finds itself about 45 miles from home rails in Provo, Utah the afternoon of Jan. 20, 1984.
The 2500 HP general purpose road switcher was built by EMD for the WP in Nov. 1963, and by March 1984, renumbered to UP 786. In 1993, it was sold to Watco, becoming Eastern Idaho Railroad 786.
