WP's Feather River Business Car
Western Pacific "Feather River" is a streamlined heavyweight business car, built by Pullman in 1912. The car began its long life as Union Pacific car No. 101, the "Overland", and was renumbered and rebranded seven times before donation by UP to the Railroading Heritage of Midwest America as "Selma" in 2022.
"WP No. 1" was parked on the house track at the Rio Grande depot in Salt Lake City, Utah on Jan. 29, 1977. The attendant was a friendly fellow, and gave my dad and me a tour of the car that day.
