At that same point, the grade increases to 1%, and continues unabated for eight miles until 5034 ft. York summit south of Santaquin. UP 9193, 6172, and 9224 drag 84 Skyline coal loads, bound for the Intermountain Power plant near Lynndyl, on a stormy Aug. 22, 1991 afternoon in southern Utah County.
