The Unexpected Journey of Hanging Rock

Union Pacific 8777 leads a Pixley, California - Tuscola, Illinois grain empty through scenic Echo Canyon, Utah the morning of May 6, 2023. On the right is a giant boulder of conglomerate rock, which rolled down the mountain back in 1948, crossing the Lincoln Highway, and coming to a stop just shy of the Union Pacific tracks. It was determined to be stable, and remains a landmark. I figure if the passage of Big Boy 4014 couldn't set it free, nothing will.
