Union Pacific SD40-2s No. 3321, 3227, 3168, and SD40 No. 3107 pull a Hinkle, Oregon to Los Angeles, California merchandise train under the Rio Grande Tintic Branch trestle in Payson, Utah the morning of April 25, 1987. At this spot on Union Pacific's Provo Subdivision, the grade increases to 1%, and continues for seven miles until the embankment crests 5032 ft. York Summit on the Utah/Juab County line south of Santaquin.
