Adventure with a Stunt Pilot

On June 22, 1979, I paid $20 for two hours flight time with a stunt pilot out of Provo, Utah Municipal Airport. Between several breathtaking ‘weightless’ dives over Utah Lake, I managed to capture a few Kodachrome images of landmarks, including this view of the Rio Grande, Union Pacific, and Utah Railway yards in Provo. Of interest is the presence of Timpanogos Golf Course along University Avenue and 9th South. The UP-UTAH car shop and turntable can be seen near the old Utah Railway office buildings. To the right, you can make out the Rio Grande passenger depot and the old wye between PDM and the Provo cemetery.
