Less than two months out of the assembly plant, Union Pacific C30-7 No. 2962 rests in Provo, Utah on Oct. 9, 1977. In May of 1978, the entire C30-7 class was renumbered, and this unit became UP 2402. By Nov. of 1992, it became a trailing unit-only (by removal of cab signals, refrigerator, toilet, and cab seats) and was renumbered UP B2402. By Nov. 1996, it was renumbered a fourth (and last) time on the Union Pacific roster as UP 402. Info from UtahRails.net
