A Town Called Echo
Union Pacific's AAMMI auto train rolls westward through the small town of Echo, Utah as viewed from Supplication Hill on April 19, 2009. This perspective required a steep, five minute nature hike where I managed to spook a sizable herd of deer. In the background at upper left are the Echo Cliffs, at right the snowy Coalville Mountains. At middle left, the small town of Echo (population 56) and at middle right is Echo Dam. Just below that (out of view) is the location where Interstate Highway 84 joins I-80.
