Orion Nebula Wide Field/ Campo amplio Nebulosa de Orión Gran
The Great Orion Nebula, also known as M42, is one of the most famous nebulae in the sky.
Glowing clouds of gas and the young, hot stars of the star-forming region are near the center of this colorful deep-sky image that includes the smallest M43 nebula and the dusty, bluish reflection nebula NGC 1977 and company to the left.
Located on the edge of an otherwise invisible complex of giant molecular clouds, these captivating nebulae represent only a small fraction of the amount of interstellar material in this galactic neighborhood.
La Gran Nebulosa de Orión, también conocida como M42, es una de las más famosa nebulosas del cielo.
Las resplandecientes nubes de gas y las jóvenes y calientes estrellas de la región de formación estelar se encuentran cerca del centro de esta colorida imagen de cielo profundo que incluye la más pequeña nebulosa M43 y la polvorienta y azulada nebulosa de reflexión NGC 1977 y compañía a la izquierda.
Situada en el borde de una de otro modo invisible complejo de nubes moleculares gigante, estas cautivadoras nebulosas representan solo una pequeña fracción de la cantidad de material interestelar en esta vecindad galáctica.
