Expert Power

Expert Power is based on the special knowledge, skills, and expertise that a leader possesses. Expert power tends to be best used in a guiding or coaching manner.

 

This sign of the John Marshall Law School is sybolic of the expert knowledge that is acquired. Lawyers use this expert power to advise people in real estate, criminal, tax and other law related topics. Since most people are not knowledgeable in the field of law, lawyers are always sought out when a legal matter arises.

 

Armed with a highly valuable asset upon graduation completion (their degree), they can be pretty versatile in the careers they seek after graduation. With such expert power, the degree assumes to equip the individual to be extremely analytical, have great problem solving skills, and other attributes that are more easily transferable to suit numerous possible career paths - in comparison to others who do not obtain a law degree.
