Strategy Formulation

This chess game is a representation of strategy formulation. Just like playing this game, a company has to analyze it's current situation. Just like a chess game where you have to see where all the pieces are. Then, a strategy is developed to achieve a goal. While in the real world it is much more complex than playing a game, the game, in which each player has sixteen pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns to manage and implement strategies on, so do people in the workforce, especially managers. A SWOT analysis is usually required to assess at what level the strategies need to be implemented. Like chess where each player allocates moves to each of his or her sixteen chess pieces, in formulation strategies and implementing them, managers allocate responsibilities to appropriate individuals in attainment of the company's goals.
