Removal of Ge 2/4 205 from Winterthur
EN: On October 16, 2007, the former Ge 2/4 205 had to leave its parking place on a monument base at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. The locomotive no longer fit into the appearance of the school and space was needed for another use. In a complex operation, the locomotive was lifted onto a road roller, which brought it to the freight station in Winterthur. From here it went by train to Arth-Goldau, where the locomotive was parked until 2016 partly protected, partly unprotected in the depot area.
In 2016, the historicRhB association and Club 1889 once again transported the locomotive by road to the workshop in Landquart, where it was prepared for further use as a monument locomotive in Bergün.
Unfortunately, there is a legal repercussion about the ownership of the locomotive, since the project manager who was employed at that time for the transport of the locomotive from Winterthur claims the locomotive for himself and regards it as his property. This has been rejected in all instances so far and the case is currently on the table for discussion in the highest courts in Switzerland. What a waste of money and a shame for this beautiful locomotive!
In the meantime, the locomotive is safely stored and waits for a vacant place in Bergün.

DE: Am 16. Oktober 2007 musste die ehemalige Ge 2/4 205 ihren Stellplatz auf einem Denkmalsockel an der Zürcher Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften verlassen. Die Lok passte nicht mehr ins Erscheinungsbild der Schule und der Platz für eine andere Nutzung benötigt. In einer aufwendigen Aktion wurde die Lok auf einen Strassenrolle gehoben, welcher Sie zum Freiverlad im Güterbahnhof Winterthur brachte. Von hier ging es dann per Bahn nach Arth-Goldau, wo die Lok bis 2016 teilweise geschützt, teilweise ungeschützt im Depotbereich abgestellt war.
2016 brachte der Verein historicRhB und Club 1889 die Lok abermals per Strassentransport in die Werkstätte in Landquart, wo die Lok für einen weiteren Einsatz als Denkmallok in Bergün hergerichtet wurde.
Leider gibt es um die Eigentümerschaft der Lok ein rechtliches Nachspiel, da der damals für den Abtransport der Lok aus Winterthur eingesetzte Projektleiter die Lok für sich beansprucht und als sein Eigentum ansieht. Dies wurde ihm bisher in allen Instanzen abgelehnt un der Fall liegt in zur Zeit in der obersten Instanz der Schweiz auf dem Tisch zur Debatte. Was für eine Geldverschwendung und Schande für diese schöne Lok!
Die Lok ist unterzwischen sicher eingestellt und wartet auf einen freiwerdenden Platz in Bergün.
