Week 13: Story: Golden Hour

Discovered this tiny cemetery located, quite literally, on an exit ramp off the highway in Irving, Texas. The grave pictured is the wife of Isaac Tompkins, a civil war veteran. This cemetery dates back to the 1800s, as Isaac requested that he was buried here under the trees, long before the landscape changed dramatically and highways were built around it. Thousands of people drive past this every day without realizing what's there. I love how you can barely see the cars on the highway in the background behind this little spot hidden in plain view.

My husband rushed me over here before the sun went down so I could capture a few photos, and it was perfect for this challenge!
