PRE DCR

Before the Delmarva Central took over operations on the peninsula of the same name, it was a pretty unremarked limb of the NS system. Not exactly a must see item on most railfan lists, the operation usually did sport some standard cab power, some of the high hood variety. Yearly visits to Dover for cars going in circles gave an opportunity to check out the NS doings and some of the remaining Pennsy artifacts of the area. On a pleasant early fall evening at the base of operations for the area, Harrington, DE, a local crew hangs out at the former station while their power idles away near by.
