CLEARING THE MAIN

A series of storms that dumped close to three feet of snow over the course of two weeks in 2010 lead to NS pressing one of their former Conrail Jordan spreaders into plow service. Here a pair of 80MAC's provide 10,000 horsepower to get the spreader on the move at South Fork. The crew will clear number 2 main all the way to Altoona before returning back west.
