'C's LAST STAND
Closed in 2003, 'C' Tower in East Conemaugh, just east of Johnstown, PA, sits empty on one of its last nights standing. Illuminated by the headlight of a passing 10N, the utilitarian cinder block tower was build in the mid 1950's as a replacement for the former tower destroyed by a derailment. A couple of backhoes were all that were needed to remove this version of the tower about a week after the image was taken.
