posing - and growling lessons
I once had an unexpected opportunity at Marwell Zoo to photograph a new Amur leopard cub, Kanika, born as part of a European Endangered species breeding programme.
It was quite difficult as the new Amur family was behind smudgy glass, which reflected a small crowd of people all eager to look or take a photo. A photographer next to me suggested putting the end of my lens onto the glass - a good tip.
Kanika eventually went to live at Santa Barbara Zoo, California where there was a mate for her.
