eleagnus with autumn bokeh
This bush grows near the stream at the bottom of the garden. It has large dark green leaves and tiny white flowers with a powerful sweet perfume.
For us it evokes memories of a French holiday when we returned to our car left in a parking place surrounded by this plant and were overwhelmed by the scent.
Home, we bought an eleagnus. It has grown and grown and now needs severe pruning from time to time. I think scent can bring forth the strongest memories.
