trimming the trees - explored
Every winter we have the trees near the stream at the bottom of our garden trimmed: hazel, alder and silver birch. This is mostly for the benefit of our neighbours whose light they begin to obscure if left to grow too much.
Yesterday was the day this year. Dave is about 25 feet up in the silver birch tree, nothing to an experienced tree surgeon but I was still careful not to distract him. When I loaded the shot up to my laptop I thought the focus underneath the chainsaw was rather unexpectedly bad but then realised it is a small cloud of coarse sawdust falling down.
