Katie works as a lifestyle consultant at the Health Club where I make regular visits to the pool. She was happy to agree to pose for portraits and, finally, one day last week, her shift and my swim coincided, plus I had taken my camera along with me.
We went outside to escape the busy reception area and found that the beech hedge in the car park was a good backdrop for a few shots.
Katie is passionate about leading a healthy, happy life and has a variety of interests. A special passion is musical theatre: she sings soprano and has competed in a number of singing festivals.
I would have liked to include Katie in my Human Family portrait series but she has such a welcoming, sunny personality that I had begun to know her before actually realising she was a recently new member of staff.
