Xysticus sp.
181/04/2024 Pyecombe, near Brighton
Another visit to Sussex, again camping at Chantry Farm, Pyecombe wolstonburydreaming.com/ .
Weather seemed unseasonably chilly, and I had little time to chase spiders, though I did manage to dislodge this one from low-growing brambles at the foot of the chalk grassland scarp. It is certainly a Xysticus sp. – possibly X. kochi. (Sadly it made off into the undergrowth before I could get a decent picture.)
