This is a Norman style quick change tool post that I made for my brother who has a 9 x 20 lathe. The post is turned from steel and the holders are 6061 aluminum.There is about 3 thousands clearance between the post and the bore in the blocks, so it just takes part of a turn on the pinch bolt to tighten the holder on the post. The post was turned from a 2 inch diameter rod,. The wide bottom helps add rigidity when the post is bolted down. The post itself is 1inch diameter. The brass screws allow the height to be set for each tool.
