Heron (Ardea cinerea)

This Heron, I have nicknamed Hanibal, has been predating on the waterfowl population on Venus Pool to a devastating level. Seen above the bird has captured an adult Little Grebe and took the next 34 minutes struggling to swallow its prey but it did manage it in the end.
