Admission Procedure in the Academy
The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-New Delhi and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU)- Belgaum.
Admission to BE, a minimum of 45 % marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the P.U.C. examination of Karnataka or its equivalent examination is a must. In case of SC/ST candidates, this percentage is fixed at 40%. Foreign/NRI students are also admitted to the B.E. courses. They must hold a valid student VISA.
Admission to M.Tech, course shall be open to candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying (BE/B.Tech) examination with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the semesters / years of the degree examination (cumulative sum of secured marks of all the semester / years divided by the sum of maximum marks). In case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST/Cat -1, marks shall not be less than 45%.
Admission to MBA, course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree with not less than fifty percent i.e. integer 50% (rounding – off aggregate percent is not permitted) of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. In the case candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Cat-1, the aggregate percent of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than forty five percent i.e. integer 45% (rounding –off aggregate percent is not permitted).
