Camden, Indiana

The 1911-built Camden Grain Elevator sits dormant on a clear, cool night. The elevator was once served by the Vandalia, PRR, PC, then CR before shutting down sometime during the Conrail days. One who looks up at its broken, busted windows may find a Turkey Vulture posted on a window sill, searching for its next meal.

Today's CERA, operated by the TP&W, shakes the derelict elevator about once a week, operating short freights down to Bringhurst to serve agriculture-related customers.
