Modern Blue
Perhaps the oldest settlement in Brazil, since the exploratory expedition of Gaspar de Lemos and Américo Vespúcio arrived at the place on January 24, 1502, which left a Portuguese exile Cosme Fernandes, known as Bacharel de Cananéia, who became a powerful figure in the region, coming to own many slaves and not paying allegiance to the Portuguese crown. Years later, in 1531, Portugal sent another expedition, under the command of Martim Afonso de Sousa, who arrived in the community of Cananéia, this date being considered the foundation of the village.
This facade seems to be a remnant of the early 18th century, a house built with stone and clay and lime mortar and waterproofed with whale oil.
