LEGO Art Deco Theater
Here is a picture of the Gotham Theater without all the Batman elements so you can see the architecture more clearly.
I absolutely love Art Deco style buildings so building this was an excuse to indulge myself and create my own Art Deco Theater. It was loosely inspired by the Marbro Theater (1927) that used to stand in Chicago. American Picture Palaces by David Naylor was an incredible source of inspiration and information on this disappearing style of architecture.
I would like to give credit to Katie Walker, as I borrowed one of her fabulous designs for the mosaic sidewalk in front of the entrance. I just recolored it and gave it a very small tweak to make it work. Thanks Katie!!
