Looking @ London

From afar that is , this is close enough for me to see London !!

The shot was taken from up on Epsom Downs

I saw enough of London close up as my first task as a surveyor in 1969 was 3 months of looking down sewers in the East End of London and that was the days of the skinheads . After that there were many further tasks in London of surveys prior to demolition of run down places that were still a home to some .There were some messy jobs attached to building sites and on one occasion 3 nights underground up the tunnels at Swiss Cottage tube station . OK , I did a recurring visit to the Houses of Parliament monitoring movement of The Elizabeth Tower .

I was much more at home out in the flat wide open expanse of the many RAF bases I worked on !

Sorry , bit of a ramble there , so this is London Skyline as seen from Epsom Downs taken back in March 2022 - I guess the skyline has changed a bit since then !!
