Three In A Tree
Taken for SSC 17/11/2018 - odd number subject .
Well my first thought for this challenge was a shot from last Sunday ( see first comment box ) - now there is a 50/50 chance the number of birds is an odd number , BUT - I kept losing count like Diederik and his leaves ! On the other hand there is a wild card in the shape of another bird in the sky ( top centre - light aircraft ) to make the number odd . However that is not the ethos of the challenge so start from scratch and with the number of birds at our feeders at home this should be easy ! Not So , the lighting was awkward and the birds were all over the place and no chance to compose a shot . I did get seven in one shot but it was well messy and a muddle to view but then a few started to rest a while . Managed this shot in the end even if it is a bit soft and not so crisp as I would like . A bit tricky with the low sun behind the birds but I hope the vignette helps a bit .
Since we put the feeders out I have spent a long time in the garden and the number of birds and the variety of breeds continues to grow and of course it is fascinating watching them .
Well the title of the song is " Three Black Crows " but I reckon that is close enough to listen to a bit of Blackmores Night .
