Zamość - The Zamość Rotunda
The Zamość Rotunda was built in the years 1825-31, as a defense system for Zamość.
During World War II, the Germans created a camp for arrested people here. Later, in 1942, this facility was also the site of numerous mass executions, which included the population of the Zamość region, including children, until 1943. It is estimated that about 8 thousand people were killed here.

Podczas II wojny światowej Niemcy stworzyli tu obóz dla ludności aresztowanej. Później, w roku 1942, obiekt ten stanowił także miejsce licznych, masowych egzekucji, jakie obejmowały do roku 1943 ludność Zamojszczyzny, w tym również dzieci. Szacuje się, że pozbawiono tu życia około 8 tysięcy ludzi.
