Rakoniewice - Town Square
The urban planning assumptions of the market square in Rakoniewice were established at the end of the 17th century by the then town heir. It marked out a relatively large square measuring 112 × 120 meters, streets and plots.
The square was surrounded by wooden arcaded houses with gable or broken roofs, covered with shingles. Unfortunately, frequent fires eliminated entire lines of this development.
To this day, only 4 arcaded houses have survived (3 of them are visible in this photo), which testify to the history of the town. A contemporary fountain was built in the middle of the square. In the corner of market square is old Evangelical church there is a fire brigade museum.

Założenia urbanistyczne rynku w Rakoniewicach ustalił pod koniec XVII wieku ówczesny dziedzic miasta. Wyznaczył stosunkowo duży plac o wymiarach 112×120 metrów, ulice i działki.
Rynek otaczały drewniane domy podcieniowe o dachach dwuspadowych lub łamanych, krytych gontem. Niestety częste pożary eliminowały całe linie tej zabudowy.
Do dziś zachowały się tylko 4 domy podcieniowe (3 są widoczne na zdjęciu), które świadczą o historii miasta. Na środku placu wybudowano współczesną fontannę. Na rogu rynku stoi stary kościół ewangelicki, w którym znajduje się muzeum straży pożarnej.
