Strzelno - the Rotunda of St. Prokop
Rotunda of St. Prokop in Strzelno is the largest Romanesque temple in Poland built on a circular plan. The entry in the chronicles of Jan Długosz gives the date March 16, 1133, however, archival research indicates the simultaneous completion of the rotunda and the nearby Norbertine church (i.e. the beginning of the 13th century).
The building was made of granite stone blocks, with later brick elements. Adjacent to the rotunda, which serves as the nave, is the chancel on a square plan, two apses and a tower.

Rotunda św. Prokopa w Strzelnie to największa romańska świątynia w Polsce zbudowana na planie koła. Zapis w kronikach Jana Długosza podaje datę 16 marca 1133, jednak badania archiwalne wskazują na równoczesny czas ukończenia rotundy i pobliskiego kościoła norbertanek (czyli początek XIII w.).
Budowla wykonana została z granitowych ciosów kamiennych, z późniejszymi elementami z cegły. Do rotundy, pełniącej funkcję nawy, przylegają: prezbiterium na planie kwadratu, dwie apsydy i wieża.
