Pępowo - The Church of St. Jadwiga, interior
The Church of St. Jadwiga in Pępowo is an example of the transformation sacred building with Gothic and Renaissance features. The church was built in the second half of the 15th century, and then it was rebuilt at the behest of the owner of the village, Andrzej Konarzewski. In 1734, a powerful storm ripped off the roof of the church and damaged the tower. In 1811, the tower was pulled down and in the years 1829-36 it was rebuilt, giving it its present appearance. The church building was also rebuilt, including aisles.
