Le Bastion. Alassio, Ligurie.

Les bastions émaillant la côte de Ligurie faisaient partie d’un ancien système de tours de guet.

 

Celui d’Alassio fut édifié au XVIe siècle par la République de Gênes

pour protéger la ville contre les pirates. Le bastion est aujourd’hui l’un de ses symboles.

The bastions dotting the Ligurian coast were part of an ancient system of watchtowers.

 

That of Alassio was built in the 16th century by the Republic of Genoa to protect the city against pirates, the bastion is today one of its symbols.
