Golden Eagle Master of the skies hunting
The Golden Eagle is one of the largest, fastest, nimblest raptors
Lustrous gold feathers gleam on the back of its head and neck; a powerful beak and talons advertise its hunting prowess.
The sun rose as it dropped from the skies hunting for prey and I had a few seconds to take the image, it did not make any sound.
Look closely at the claws in my image. Best view large.
Tricky photography of a fast moving large Bird whose wingspan is 1.8 to 2.34 metres (5 ft 11 in to 7 ft 8 in). The wingspan of golden eagles is the fifth largest among living eagle species.. The sun had just risen and the snow is white so all the settings on the camera have to balance without the snow being grey or blown highlights.
The Golden Eagle is usually the largest bird of prey in the regions where it lives. Some individuals are blackish-brown; others are golden-brown and have a more patterned plumage. This variation in plumage pattern, in part, has to do with the fact that golden eagles are always replacing their feathers (molting). Old feathers look faded while fresh ones look darker.
The Golden Eagle is the most common official national animal in the world—it's the emblem of Albania, Germany, Austria, Mexico, and Kazakhstan.
